Living in Miams

Miami is known for its gorgeous stretches of soft, sandy beaches and that is certainly one of the best things about living here. However, the diversity of cultures cultivated in this beautiful city is what really sets it apart. Living in Miams means getting to experience the fusion of music, food and art that are all so richly rooted in its many vibrant communities.

It also means that you have to adjust your daily schedule to accommodate the fact that 15 minutes late is actually on time (that’s right, I said it). Additionally, the cost of living in Miami is a bit higher than most other cities across America. This is primarily due to the real estate market and the fact that the median home price is about 30% higher than the rest of Florida.

Another downside to living in Miami is the weather, which can be unpredictable. It has been referred to as a “tropical monsoon climate,” so you can expect high levels of humidity and heat year-round. And of course, it is hurricane season from June through November.

Lastly, it is important to remember that while recreational marijuana is legal in the state of Florida, it is not yet legally available for use within the City limits of Miami. However, if you are in need of medical marijuana or have a doctor’s prescription for it, you may purchase it at one of the numerous licensed dispensaries throughout the City.
