Putting Together Your Airsoft Gear

When putting together your airsoft gear, there is no one size fits all way of outfitting yourself for the battlefield. However, some basic considerations are worth keeping in mind to help you find the best equipment for your needs.

Most importantly, you will want to choose clothing that will prevent BB scratches and provide a comfortable feel for prolonged wear. The best choice is usually a shirt that is long-sleeved, with a camouflage pattern. Some players also like to prioritize shirts that are water-resistant for extra protection against BBs flying in wet conditions.

Next you will need a chest rig or tactical vest that provides plenty of storage options for gear and extra magazines. Many of these types of vests feature a MOLLE mounting style, so that you can customize them to your particular attachment preferences and gun setup. Some even include a hydration pouch for added convenience.

Finally, you will need a good pair of goggles that offer full closed protection for your eyes. While shop goggles and shooter’s glasses can be used, it is recommended to purchase a pair of airsoft specific goggles that will not shatter into brittle shards.

Once you have a decent set of clothing and protective gear, you will need an arsenal of weapons to run the battlefield. There are a wide variety of choices available, from traditional spring rifles and sniper scope replicas to advanced AEG (automatic electric guns) such as the popular AR-15 series, H&K MP5 or AK-47 series. airsoft gear
