The Explosion Proof Stainless Steel Flanged Ball Valves are used in applications where there is Flammable Process Fluid or Hazardous Dust. They are commonly used for industrial automation piping systems that convey liquids, gasses, and vapors. This type of valve can be fitted with a variety of electric actuators that can control the flow of a system’s medium through it.
This dual certified fire safe/low emission investment cast 2-piece ANSI 150 Flanged Stainless Steel Valve is designed to mount between standard flanges. These valves are equipped with a PTFE seat and a full port body. The flanged connections offer unrestricted flow and low pressure loss. The PTFE seat is rated for use with a broad range of media and temperatures. The flanged valve offers a high flow and shut off rate, it is more efficient than a globe or segmented valve.
These valves are available in 1/2″ – 4″ sizes and feature an all 316L stainless steel construction including the PFA fused ball. They are a quarter turn valve and feature a sanitary tri-clamp connection which eliminates the possibility of threading or leakage and provides a cleaner system. The sanitary design is more durable than a traditional metal valve and provides the best possible seal to prevent process contamination.
These valves are available in a variety of flanged or NPT (threaded) versions and can be fitted with an electric or pneumatic actuator. The actuators are direct mounted to the valve creating a compact assembly and allow for the use of limit switches or remote position indication. The actuators are available in two-position or modulating control. The modulating actuator accepts a 4 to 20 mA input signal and uses the supply voltage to drive the valve open or closed.
